🚲❤️ As I was coming back from my travels I found out that my beloved bike was borrowed by a friend of a friend and stolen from them. 😪 It was the first bike I owned as an adult - believe it or not! And it was a welcome to the island present from someone dear to me. 🌴🥥🍍 And I managed to keep it the whole time I lived on the island, so it was a sad moment to hear it was 'gone'. 😪 Yet I ask myself 'why?' It can be replaced. It's "just" material isn't it...? And a little part of me says "things have spirits too" and just as I write this I feel happy for whoever has that bike now. It's one heck of a good ride Enjoy! 🏍️ And after all, nothing is ever truly ours in life, we just borrow it for some time, so I'm grateful I got to have it for the time I had it. After a 30+ hour journey, including 17 hours in lay overs, I have made it to Panama City. Part of me was dreading this long journey but I like to think every moment is worth living and can be enjoyed for what it is, So I decided I'd make it a good one before I left, and it has been! Sure I'm a little sleep deprived and pretty much ran to shower when I stepped into my Airbnb, But I know I am privileged to have the possibility to see different parts of the world in this life time and a whole day of travelling won't make me forget that. On that note, I highly recommend travelling with a yoga mat in your hand luggage so you can yoga while you wait. This was on one of my long waits 🤸🏽‍♀️ P. I'm Melissa, I was born in Mexico and grew up with my feet in the sand, my skin always salty from the sea and my curly hair knotted. My parents are French, my mum is half Senegalese and I lived in Marseille for 6 years. I am now a Londoner although my heart belongs to Mexico and France is my second home. I started yoga 6 years ago, looking for a good stretch and a sweat. At first I was purely drawn in by the physical benefits, I loved feeling myself get stronger and more flexible with every class. Soon enough, I started to notice the effect yoga had on my mind, I felt calmer and more present every time I stepped off my mat and back into my hectic life. Experiencing how yoga and meditation have enabled me to live more fully and find joy in the simplest tasks, I felt the need to share this knowledge with others. I completed my 200 hour training at The House of Yoga with Jason Poole and Tal Zalel and I have loved seeing the benefits that this beautiful ancient practice has had on all those with whom I have had the privilege to share my love for Yoga. During my classes I endeavor to focus on self-love and acceptance while encouraging yogis to find their edge.
